We're slackers... we were supposed to buy a video camera before Dylan was born - in fact it was on my list of things to do that got interrupted when Dylan landed early. Anyways, we finally broke down and bought a Sony MiniDV from Costco. Dylan is smiling a lot more these days - the authentic smiles - not just the 'I have released my gas so I'm smiling' kind. It really does give you the warm fuzzies when you see it.
I hate researching electronics because it can be endless... especially when you don't know anything about the class of product. What goes into a video camera purchase? MiniDV vs. DVD? What level of optical zoom? Battery life? Mounting options? Ugh. I'd rather be watching American Idol! ha.
My threshold for satisficing is pretty low w/ this stuff... i usually go off recommendations, whatever info i can get in less than 10 minutes and brand. Costco is the ultimate decision minimizer. COSTCO == never get ripped off. by the way have you tried their roast chicken - yum.
anyways, sorry for not posting everyone - we're busy being parents. look for some video clips reaaaaal sooooooooon.
